This is the blogsite ( well, kinda'- not big on blogging- loose lips sink ships ) of Dave McArtney , Hello Sailor guitarist and songwriter, currently in pre-production for a new album, the band's sixth, the focus being now on British West Ponsonby folklore, calypso/soul/reggae, leather tongue motels, the architecture of the soul, and other urban entertainments .Produced by long-time Sailor sideman, Stuart Pearce and recording is at Roundhead studios. In Feb 2011, watch out for floating hotel gigs in Auckland and Wellie, with THE PINK FLAMINGOS.
